Deconstrucento #1
PlusCode, 2015
Images of Italian Renaissance paintings are intervened in real-time by algorithms that simulate video compression artifacts. A subtle interaction of the artist rips the images of their iconic language taking them into more abstract forms of representation by losing their identification to their reference. This process is then projected on framed canvases, whose texture completes the experience of having the maximum expressions of beauty and harmony being dissolved into artificial machine-made images.
